At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the approach to the work-up of chronic abdominal pain (CAP) in children in order to distinguish functional syndromes from other entities
- Define Functional Abdominal Pain Syndromes in children
- Review approaches to management of various types of chronic abdominal pain in children
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Interpret and understand the pitfalls growth curves in pediatrics
- Review the causes and differential diagnosis of FTT
- Review the work-up and management of children with FTT in the office
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the classic and atypical presentations of Celiac Disease (CD) – and what has changed over the years
- Understand the various approaches to diagnosis of CD
- Understand the management and its importance in the care for a child with celiac disease
- Identify the common causes of heart murmurs across the pediatric age
- Develop a systematic diagnostic approach to heart murmurs in children, including the judicious use of ancillary investigations
- Know when to refer to consultation with a pediatric cardiologist

- Be knowledgeable about the common causes of chest pain in pediatrics
- Develop a systematic, evidence-based, diagnostic approach to chest pain in children, including the judicious use of ancillary investigations
- Know when to refer to consultation with a pediatric cardiologist
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize the most common connective tissue diseases associated to silent heart involvement
- Develop a systematic approach to the evaluation of children with suspected connective tissue disease
- Know when to refer for consultation to a cardiogenetics clinic
- Become familiar with the online resources available to best care for this patient population

- Understand the changing presentations, diagnostic methods and management of celiac disease
